I was surprised at how amazingly well this worked. I bought a hide-a-bed sofa secondhand and they had a piece of plywood under the cushions to keep them from sinking down on the metal part of the bed frame and causing discomfort. However, you don't want to sit down hard when there's a board in there. Ouch! Very uncomfortable. Bought this, let it expand for three days, and then put it directly on top of the hide-a-bed under the cushions. So much of an improvement, and now my couch is comfortable!
